Costco's Nintendo eGift card promo is a strong way to stretch Nintendo spending, especially for Switch 2, games, and other hardware. The cards can be split because each has its own code, and the discount stacks with Costco email coupons and Member Appreciation Days. Some orders arrive within hours, though codes can lag and a few checkouts are getting canceled. The main limits are account verification, name mismatches, and purchase caps, so it works best when the Costco account is fully set up.

  • The deal can stack with a Costco.com $50 off $500 email offer for additional savings.

  • The eShop funds can be used for more than eShop credit, including games and hardware purchases.

  • Codes may arrive within a couple hours after order confirmation, which can reduce delivery anxiety.

  • The eGift cards can be split into multiple codes for gifting to different people.

  • Some orders get cancelled repeatedly, including attempts using different cards.

  • Nintendo eShop account balance has a maximum cap, which can limit how much credit can be loaded at once.

  • Order cancellations can be triggered by a billing and shipping name mismatch, which may prevent coupon reinstatement.

  • Digital eShop funds cannot be used to pay at Nintendo's physical stores in New York or San Francisco.

Isn't purchasing console directly at Costco cheaper?

Costco does not discount console anywhere near 20% off

Does each pack have its own code?

Probably used the cards to buy the Switch 2 from Nintendo directly.

Each card has it's own code, you can split the pack and give them to multiple people

not a member anymore but great deal. I thought I found a pretty good deal at Walmart.com. They have Switch 2 with Mario Kart World from a third party seller for $511 with tax $545.79 (-$27.29 5% cashback w/OnePay cc=$518.50)

Instead with this deal $600 worth of Nintendo credit is $479.97. Buy Switch 2 with Mario Kart direct from Nintendo after NJ tax is $586.43 with $13.57 leftover credit to use on the eshop.

$480 vs $518.50. $38.50 cheaper and $13.57 credit left. Gotta find someone who's a member now!

I believe you can add these one by one at checkout and apply as payment rather than adding them prior to your eshop balance.
