Insignia PLA and PETG come across as inexpensive, Polymaker-like filament that prints reliably for everyday use. The black, white, and matte black spools are described as printing well with default settings, strong bed adhesion, little or no PETG stringing, and consistent color between rolls. White PLA is called crisp and bright, and the blue color is especially vibrant. The main drawbacks are the non resealable bag, cardboard spools that shed dust, and limited sale pricing outside black. A solid low-cost option if those tradeoffs are fine.

  • Budget-minded makers printing everyday PLA or PETG parts, because it prints well with default settings and has strong bed adhesion.

  • Model builders matching a specific color, because the blue is very vibrant and the yellow can closely match a bridge project.

  • 3D printer owners who want a bright white PLA, because it comes out crisp white without a noticeable blue tint.

  • Print farms swapping spools automatically, because the filament end is not taped to the spool.

  • Shoppers who need a resealable bag for opened filament, because the packaging does not include one.

  • People wanting non-black colors at the sale price, because only black is $9 and other colors cost more or are unavailable.

  • Makers who need PLA that stays tough in storage or handling, because the PLA can feel brittle.

Only black is $9. Other colors $12 or not available. Meh.
White was $9 and available. I got 1 white and 1 black.

Reviews are fake these days. I'd rather hear directly from folks on here
Live next to a best buy and can vouch for this product. I have been picking up a few spools a week pretty regularly. It honestly exceeded my expectation for the price. Great bed adhesion, good color, uniform color between different spools, and prints well with default material settings. The word on the street is that this filament is white labeled polymaker filament. I have used insignia PLA, PLA+, PETG, and TPU without issue. The filament end is also not taped to the spool so you can let it run through if your printer has an auto spool swap.

I picked up two spools of matte black. If this is polymaker as others suggest (and I'm not aware of that many manufacturers of matte black, so seems likely), it is a good deal.

I've found myself using more and more petg and less and less PLA. Then quite a bit of TPU. PLA? I burned through a bit when I started printing, but it's just brittle. Now it's just sitting in boxes, taking up space.

I've only used the black PETG and the white PLA so far, but they print just was well as the Polymaker filaments that I normally use. In fact I just used my Polymaker filament profiles in my P1S and they printed great. No stringing on the PETG, even when going back and forth across small vertical components like vertical grills for a fan. At 9 bucks I'll pick up a couple more rolls of black PETG for sure.
Surprise! Insignia is polymaker

Out of 1386 reviews it has 4.9 stars. the one drawback customers mention is that it does not come in a resealable bag.
Resealable bags aren't typical with filament at those prices, so that's nbd to me
