Insignia PLA and PETG come across as inexpensive, Polymaker-like filament that prints reliably for everyday use. The black, white, and matte black spools are described as printing well with default settings, strong bed adhesion, little or no PETG stringing, and consistent color between rolls. White PLA is called crisp and bright, and the blue color is especially vibrant. The main drawbacks are the non resealable bag, cardboard spools that shed dust, and limited sale pricing outside black. A solid low-cost option if those tradeoffs are fine.

  • The filament prints well with default material settings and shows strong bed adhesion.

  • The black PETG and white PLA reportedly print as well as Polymaker filaments in a P1S.

  • The filament end reportedly is not taped to the spool, which can help auto spool swap workflows.

  • The white PLA reportedly looks crisp and bright without a noticeable blue hue.

  • The filament reportedly does not come in a resealable bag, which can make storage less convenient.

  • Only black is priced at $9, while other colors are $12 or not available.

  • Cardboard spools reportedly dust up a bit, which may require extra handling or protective steps.

  • PLA reportedly can be brittle, leaving some unused PLA stored in boxes after switching to PETG and TPU.

Only black is $9. Other colors $12 or not available. Meh.
White was $9 and available. I got 1 white and 1 black.

Reviews are fake these days. I'd rather hear directly from folks on here
Live next to a best buy and can vouch for this product. I have been picking up a few spools a week pretty regularly. It honestly exceeded my expectation for the price. Great bed adhesion, good color, uniform color between different spools, and prints well with default material settings. The word on the street is that this filament is white labeled polymaker filament. I have used insignia PLA, PLA+, PETG, and TPU without issue. The filament end is also not taped to the spool so you can let it run through if your printer has an auto spool swap.

I picked up two spools of matte black. If this is polymaker as others suggest (and I'm not aware of that many manufacturers of matte black, so seems likely), it is a good deal.

I've found myself using more and more petg and less and less PLA. Then quite a bit of TPU. PLA? I burned through a bit when I started printing, but it's just brittle. Now it's just sitting in boxes, taking up space.

I've only used the black PETG and the white PLA so far, but they print just was well as the Polymaker filaments that I normally use. In fact I just used my Polymaker filament profiles in my P1S and they printed great. No stringing on the PETG, even when going back and forth across small vertical components like vertical grills for a fan. At 9 bucks I'll pick up a couple more rolls of black PETG for sure.
Surprise! Insignia is polymaker

Out of 1386 reviews it has 4.9 stars. the one drawback customers mention is that it does not come in a resealable bag.
Resealable bags aren't typical with filament at those prices, so that's nbd to me
