Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Even without the rebate, it's about as cheap as it gets for an A tier 1000w PSU.

Agree. I shiver thinking of having to gather all the stuff to send off, cutting up the box, originals of receipts, printing rebate forms, getting the address and P.O. Box for the specific product correct and hoping you get a check in the mail half a year later. No thanks.

Note that if your MB has TWO CPU power connectors, then you only have ONE 8pin PCIE connector for your GPU - not a big deal if you have a GPU with 12vHPWR, but if you've got anything else that may be limiting...

I got the 1250w version of this for $105 a couple months back. It has severe coil whine in games even when I undervolt my GPU. The cables are pretty nice and flexible though

Plus $0.82 for the stamp to mail in the rebate..hehe.. ;

initial registration is done online at MSI Rebate Access, but you must still mail in physical documents (like the original UPC barcode and sales receipt) to complete the claim. [1, 2, 3]

I bought two 850 watt versions of this psu. One had severe unbearable coil whine that could be heard in the next room with the doors shut, and the other has nearly imperceptible coil whine that you can only barely hear if you put your ear to the psu on hands and knees under the desk.

Return yours and buy another. It's just mfg luck.

In reality both of mine have coil whine, but in practicality only one did. I have never noticed it on the 2nd one in a normal usage situation, even with the computer muted. On the first one it was ear splitting.

Installed mine yesterday. Much smaller than the 12 year old EVGA SuperNOVA P2 1000W it replaced. The cables are very nice, long, flexible. No coil whine at 650W draw. Happy to have that old PSU out of my PC. Been nervous given hardware prices lately so this was good insurance
