I'm curious, why do people buy these rolls when there are cheaper ones just as good?

As someone who currently has 400+ rolls of filament at home, I can assure you that not all filament is the same.

What's your favorite brands? I only have 30+ rolls so far and I can't tell if it's my settings or brand yet.

I like Bambu Lab filament since it's hassle-free. I use Sunlu and Bambu, but mostly Kingroon because it's hard to beat 60 to 70 bucks per 10-pack of PLA, PETG, or silk.

In this deal, we can choose which colors we want.
The cheaper deals are usually black, white or a predefined set of basic colors.

It's hard to necessarily pick a favorite for me as some brands carry filaments or specific colors that others don't. In my collection, I'd say I have more Elegoo than anything else as it's probably the best budget filament in general that I have used. Creality is pretty close (but stay away from their Soleyin as that is not very good) if not right there and Sunlu a tier below that in my opinion. I primarily print PLA but have a nice amount of PETG, TPU and some engineering filament as well.

From those brands that have deals, I'd recommend any of those mentioned. I have a lot of Polymaker as well which is great, but it doesn't really go on deal like the others. Eryone is also very underrated for their specialty filament, but it also doesn't hit pricing like some of the others.

I did see someone mention kingroon, and I do have some but would only recommend it for prototyping, regardless of how cheap it is.

I just got some Soleyin, didn't have any problem with it. I bought 20 rolls of PLA (Hyper) & PETG (Soleyin, Soleyin Ultra, CR) from this deal, cost $9.33 a roll after all the discounts. Very happy with it so far.
