Didn't even realize they made non extreme version! Wonder if this is Costco only version. Got OG Go for under $500 a few years back and it's been a great device to drop in the bag and never use on trips lol

For a new condition PC Handheld that's not bad in today's market.

Compared to ROG Ally XBOX X... same price, better screen, more RAM, similar battery, similar processor, and table top options.

Thanks OP

Xbox Ally X has the extreme chip, so I would assume at least 20-30% better performance, your other points stand though. Definitely took the game pads off to game a few times and the large screen is an absolute must for me.

I think they might also sell it like this in the UK?

😂😂 Too close to home hahaha.

I had the original Go very shortly as well, I got frustrated at Windows, so ended up returning - but I'm hoping SteamOS/Bazzite has matured enough that I can dump windows off of this.

Similar performance to bestbuy $800(or less) deal for Go S Z1E. $200 premium for better screen and bigger battery(only slightly better battery life due to screen) and removable controller... to each their own I guess.

New vs open box is important to some. And you mention screen is better (OLED vs LCD) but it's also bigger.

Best Buy Go S has native SteamOS vs Windows here, though. Sounds like there are still SteamOS bugs for the Go 2 (with some workarounds, but still less than ideal). Bazzite sounds pretty stable though. 🤷 ♂️

Z2 is Zen 4, Z2X is Zen 5, it's more efficient per watt is 10-20% or higher depending on wattage and lower battery use. That's not an assumption.

Seems like a solid deal in today's market. The "extra" RAM helps, though as others have pointed out - this is a generation old chip. That being said, I'd be curious what people's experience is between devices with this chip compared with the original Z1 chip (non-extreme).

Probably in for one.

The z2 is basically rebranded z1e chip. That being said the 2ze isnt that much far ahead of the z2/z1e chips according to alot of reviews on youtube.
