Wow, Henckels really dipping into Chinese knives to sell. These are Chinese manufactured 'damascus' using steel that's similar composition to VG10, around 60 -/+ 1 HRC. They aren't real damascus, rather, the pattern is laser etched. You can search 'Damascus knife' on alibaba or aliexpress and find them, this particular handle is like the default style. You can contact a supplier to customize the laser etched pattern, handle type, and knife type to sell as a set.

These aren't laser etched.

According to the listing they are acid etched to make the pattern more pronounced.

It looks weird because it's only 23 layer damascus.
