Thanks, hopefully you guys can forgive me for not knowing what I am doing with posting deals and not adding more info. I'm working but happened to come across this shopping for some in the bathroom. Lol. Had to share while I had a second.

Personally, I'll order the generic brands off Aliexpress for $5-7 a kilo.
I've had good results from kingroon

Thanks for the rec, I haven't tried theirs. I just tried to find some but no luck. I guess it's not something they always have listed? I will keep an eye out though. I tried other $5 & $6 rolls from there but had an issue everytime. Personally I don't have good luck with Alliexpress. Only my Hifiman orders have been problem free or actually arrived.

Bestbuy's house brand makes filament now. 8.99 for pla, matte pla and petg. If anyone has BB coupons that would be slick. Too bad they're not doing their $5 coupons right now.

Best buy is polymaker BTW so fairly nice but of course cheaper options and longer waits can be had on ali exp if you are not in a rush or want cheap polymaker.

I've printed 8 kg of Kingroon PLA with great success, I'm sure their PETG is good too. I've had good luck with Jayo matte high speed PETG at around $9-10/kg

Also put about 20kg of kingroon petg, just dehumidify it and it's good…

Yeah, I saw some bundle deals but until I get a new printer I don't have a need for that much. I was nearly out so grabbed a black and white pla from that bestbuy deal and one of these to hold me over until I decide what printer to get. I want something affordable but capable. I'm torn between the flashforge ad5x and the anycubic kobra x.

YouTube and Slickdeals! I'm not sure what printer you own but your first couple of weeks of prints will likely be must-have enhancements that will help you to learn the ropes. Just enter your printer model in YouTube and you should get some great tips from people that have already went through their own journey. If you need materials you can setup an alert up for PLA, PETG or other material as those come up almost daily and will usually be through aliexpress.com. I personally just use PETG for everything as it is strong and heat/UV resistant and wait for aliexpress.com deals to get posted along with coupons. I rarely pay more than $5-$7 per kg/spool of filament.

I think the thriftycrow failed to mention that you'd need to buy them in bulk, 10 spools at a time, to get them at that price per kilo. What you found was a good deal on one spool, it's also being sold by Amazon, which means you'll get it way faster

As a newish CC2 owner, ask gemini or Claude questions. You're going to Google and get a bunch of sites with info. AI can aggregate much quicker and across multiple sites and give you answers and direction. They're not always perfect, but as you learn, you can figure out if they're right or wrong and point it out, and they can steer you.

And if you want some basics of pla, petg and such, easy to buy bulk spools. If you're looking for specific colors or types, easy to buy one spool. Like in want to make an eagles emblem necklace for my niece. I don't want ten spools of each color. I don't want a mix of colors I won't use.

My ali orders come in like three days max, they are fast.
