Xr module had a micro sd slot for local recording, however seems like a lost cause because it's only xr for the outdoor 4?
Really confused how it works compared to 4 and 2k+, and recording quality

I have this and it works pretty good. I got it for the no subscription. The outdoor 4 cameras can run on a different frequency giving you the extended range, but video quality does go down the farther you go

Thanks, looks like they are rebranding the 4 as xr and adding a separate line for xr cameras. I've only got two outdoor 4/ and want to throw my older xt2 or 3 cameras out as xr but that doesn't seem to be the case so will skip on this.

It's called the xr when bundled with the xr module. Stupid naming scheme. But all outdoor 4's are technically xr, you need the xr or xr+ module to unlock it. The module puts out a separate frequency for the cameras. I have an outdoor4 in my garage and it's the same quality as on my back porch (detached garage in back yard)

I have a couple of sync 1s for my older cameras and a sync 2 for my wired floodlight. Would I be able connect the floodlight to this and get rid of that module?
