It depends on how you plan to use it. The range from a phone is quite limited, but if you intend to use it as a flying selfie stick or with hand control or for something nearby, it should be acceptable to have just it. But keep I mind that batteries for those are pricey if you need more any time soon.
Also, you cannot lock the camera for ND filters using phone control if you need to.
I would say this deal is more for people who already have kits and just need a spare drone. To be fair, it's not that bad for light FPV usage.
