Lavazza Super Crema is a solid midrange whole bean coffee that shines for espresso and Aeropress drinks, with chocolatey, slightly earthy flavor and low acidity. The price per ounce is called out as strong, especially when the larger 2.2 pound bags are available, and the deal can stack well with Subscribe and Save. The main catch is that this offer is for the 22 ounce bag, not the usual 2.2 pound size, and the coupon or extra discount does not always apply cleanly. A practical pick if you want everyday espresso beans without paying premium prices.
Common Questions (4)
The extra 10% Subscribe & Save discount may only apply to the first bag in a multi-bag order. Some orders still show strong bulk pricing on larger quantities, including 6 x 2.2-lb bags at $77 or $92 depending on the listing.
Some buyers say the current Super Crema tastes more burnt or bland than it used to, and prefer other Lavazza blends such as the Espresso brown bag or the gold-and-green bag. Others still prefer Super Crema over nearby alternatives, so the taste preference is very personal.
No, the deal is for the 22-oz size, not the normal 2.2-lb bag. The smaller bag can still be a good price per ounce, but it is easy to miss the size difference when comparing listings.
Yes, it makes great espresso for grocery-store bagged beans. It is also described as a solid daily-drinker option with a good price per ounce when the deal is available.
