I've been tisming about robot vacs for a while. If you don't have an Instagram-ready house every day, make sure to get structured lasers as to not get stuck running everything over.

If you have carpet, get one with double rollers. Cameras are great for identifying what kind of objects are in the way but lasers can detect distance when to accurately stop and avoid the object. Lidar is great for room mapping. So I'd prioritize lidar + structured light sensors (lasers) over camera.

If you have a lot of carpet, get one with double rollers. I'd put double rollers as more important than the marketing number of suction (kPa).

I've also had stinky mop issues and reduced suction eventually with all my robots so make sure to get an extended warranty

Personally I always buy my robot vacs from Costco, their warranty covers these for lifetime, and in my experience they tend to break down conveniently when their warranty is out, like no joke within a month or two, has happened to me twice!
