We've had this set for a little while on a previous SD. There was a lot of comments about serrated vs non steak knives... I'm not running a steak house. These cut / shred (whatever) great and looks nice while doing it. $40 bucks. Cmon, what else do you expect?
Not really a great deal as they are usually found at one store or another for $40 or less. Just search SD's site. Here is an example: https://slickdeals.net/f/19959750 Note that Wayfair even had the list price at $160 and $180 during separate promotions.
Scamflation will keep everything elevated.

Checked these out at a Zwilling store last week, they are fine if you are looking for a basic serrated knife. I much prefer a non-serrated. You can sharpen non-serrated yourself and it cuts the meat much better.

Bought these about a year ago from the similar Wayfair deal, and I don't like them. They just feel so cheap, a couple of the tips broke off already somehow. I'm not getting into the debate on serrated vs non-serrated, but i do wish the serrated part was longer, it's a little short for my preference. They look nice and the box is fancy schmancy, but the knives are a let down to me. This is my experience/opinion only.

Steak Houses use crappy knives(serrated) because they saw vs slice and therefore will last longer...without the need to sharpen. They just get tossed in garbage(as they should).
My 31+year old Pro S set still going strong with 3-4X week usage.
Just Steel edge whenever and 2X pro sharpen.
Serrated on a steak knife is not a design flaw, it is for people who are never going to sharpen anything, and that is most houses. I keep a fine edge set for when I actually cook a good cut and the serrated ones go out when there are six people at the table. A fine edge that nobody maintains tears meat worse than any serration.
