Plus because that the light itself is magnetic so you can mount it (on metallic things) when you pull it off the base. Love these over those other little lights with a clip that always get so much praise... Never understood the appeal. The idea is you clip it to your clothes, but I don't understand how anyone can get that thing pointed where they want it that way. I prefer these little guys, they live on your keychain or belt loop, you pull it off (no finding a tiny button to activate) and it turns on, then when done you hold it near the magnetic base and it snaps back into place. One handed operation.

This is a tiny magnetic keychain flashlight that shines best for quick, close-up tasks like finding a lock, checking a car hood, or grabbing something from a glovebox. The buttonless pull-off design makes one-handed use easy, and the light is unobtrusive enough to stay on a keyring without being noticed. The main limits are low brightness and short reach, so it is not meant for camping or workshop lighting. The clip can also slip, though the magnet keeps it attached.
The flashlight provides enough close-up illumination to help find a keyhole in the dark.
The compact keychain size makes it easy to carry and it can be unobtrusive on keyrings.
The magnetic, buttonless activation turns on immediately when the light is pulled off its base.
The light can be easier to use than fumbling with a phone flashlight for quick illumination.
The light output is very limited and does not penetrate far into the dark.
The deal may be less compelling because the flashlight is often priced around $15 instead of $20.
The clip-style attachment can allow the flashlight to slip off, even though the magnet may keep it on keys.
The flashlight is intended for quick close tasks rather than camping or workshop lighting.
