Thousands of fires start every year because of surge protectors and extension cords. Mostly due to misuse, such as overloading the circuit. But yeah, let's sell a product with 22-outlets and encourage people to plug everything they own into it. Oh, and we'll get just the cable and the plug itself UL certified to give a false sense of safety because we know the entire unit would fail certification.

I have one powering Meris and Strymon MX pedals, a SSL mixer. Now, all my gear terminates on a high-quality sinewave UPS though.

No smoke, no fire...except when I'm shredding (in .25 speed mode of course like most YouTubers, then speed it up in the editor)
Okay, back to trolling from competing brands.

All small electronic devices use very low wattage. Even plugging in a few PCs or monitors will draw very minimal wattage. Even if it does overload the circuit will just trip and shut off. Stop making everyone so paranoid.

Seriously. If overloading a circuit burns your house down then your house wiring is FUBAR. This is possible if they have a Federal Pacific panel but that's 100% their fault for having a fire hazard protecting the home's wiring.

Only the cord and plug are UL certified. What joke is this? My CyberPower strips are all fully UL certified.

I just wonder about the IQ of those who put a "Fire" comment under any electric device here!

Yep, anyone who has done electrical work will know that the 'outlet' itself can overheat and some old homes do not have an insulator box to protect against this stuff. Instead, the outlet is basically right behind some insulation. The only time something like this would be viable is for maybe a home entertainment system as you are not going to be using your Blu-Ray Player, PS5, XBOX, VHS Player all at the same time. Now if you put this in your kitchen and want to use your Microwave, Instant Bot, Air Fryer, Blender and Steamer all at the same time, you are asking for trouble.
