Pure Protein bars are a chewy, high protein snack with decent flavor and strong value at this price. The chocolate peanut butter and newer variety box get the most praise, with the sundae cone bar called out as especially good. The bars are also described as more textured than Barebells, and the deal lands below typical Costco or Sam's pricing. The main caveats are that chocolate deluxe tastes poor, the coupon is not available on every account, and maltitol can be bothersome in larger amounts. A solid grab if you want portable protein without paying premium bar prices.

  • The deal can land around about $0.50 to $0.61 per bar with Subscribe & Save.

  • The chocolate variety box includes standout flavors like the sundae cone bar.

    dreeves14

  • The bars can taste good, with chocolate peanut butter described as delicious.

    KingShaza

  • The bars are positioned as convenient on-the-go snacks for carrying around.

    rly723

  • The 25% coupon may not be available on some accounts even when Subscribe & Save shows.

    RobOnLIMrLead

  • Chocolate deluxe reportedly tastes pretty bad compared with other flavors.

    KingShaza

  • Maltitol can be annoying when consuming a larger quantity of bars.

    KingShaza

  • The bars may not match the texture expectations of Barebells for everyone.

Anyone who likes Barebells texture, can y'all please confirm if the texture for this is same as Barebells? Thanks so much!

Definitely not. These also have some soy isolate and collagen in em which barebells do not, and as far as I'm aware nobody knows the % whey.

That said, these are about 1/5th of the price as barebells and imo are a great value. I wish barebells and David bars weren't outrageously expensive.

  • Barebells for flavor
  • David for macros
  • Pure Protein for deep value with decent flavor
  • Quest for something in between pure protein and barebells price wise but without the soy isolate or collagen protein pure protein has

I just make my own protein brownies/waffles and protein ice cream. Since I usually make it for a treat at home usually is good enough. But I know protein bars are a convenient snack to carry with you

Agreed. Barebells is like eating a chocolate candy bar.

Wow cheaper than Costco
Cheaper than Costco even when on sale. I think in Chicago when it goes on sale, it was about $17 for 25pk ($0.68 per bar). This deal at $11 for 18 pack is $0.61 per bar. Some people are saying they got it cheaper than $11. Unfortunately I don't have the discount

Chocolate Peanut Butter is delicious cannot fault it. Have not tried chocolate chip. Chocolate deluxe is pure function and tastes pretty bad. Just my take.
I like chocolate chip better than peanut butter.

Not the same. Barebell and Built Puff are my go-to. It's still chewy like Barebell but has more texture. I like it but my teens only eat the peanut butter and choco chip version.

cheaper than typical costco or sams price. I loaded up on like 10 boxes when they were on clearance at Costco months ago. It came out to like .40 cents a bar.
