I have one in a corner and it does...ok. You def need two and not a bad price. The ones with bases are prolly better as they sit higher.

Depends on the size of the office and the walls since these lamp bounce light off the walls rather than illuminate from a lamp shade. For a small room with white walls it should be sufficient

Wall color matters like you mentioned. In general 1000lm is barely enough to light up a room. Two can work, but the light distribution will horizontal and not as evenly distributed to a sky facing light.

I am in for one. I already have one that I sync to my Govee TV backlights. Now I can have one on each side of the TV. They are great ambiance lights. Not much for lighting a room. But if you have white walls, it'll do well.

These wouldn't "light up" a room. They're pretty weak and primarily accent lights use to aim into the corner of the room. Their color accuracy is pretty awful too. I bought two of these and one strip light for the back of my computer monitor and the the two floor lamps could match each other but their colors looked quite different from the strip light (also from Govee) on my monitor. I also used the app to sync them all. I returned all 3 and got a Phillips Hue strip light and the quality is much better.
