This 52 inch Hart rolling tool cabinet stands out as a lot of storage for the money, with soft close drawers, included liners, and a keyed lock. The size and layout draw praise as a better fit than smaller Hart boxes, and the price looks strong versus Harbor Freight and Husky alternatives. Shipping is the main risk, though, with freight and ground deliveries sometimes arriving damaged or freight charges appearing in cart. It feels more entry level than truly heavy duty, so it suits basic homeowner and DIY use best.

Common Questions (5)

  • For this size, it is priced well below comparable Harbor Freight options and far below a heavy-duty Husky setup. The tradeoff is that the Harbor Freight US General and Husky boxes are generally considered better built, but they cost substantially more.

  • It can arrive perfectly, but shipping damage is a real risk. Some deliveries came in perfect shape on a pallet, while others arrived smashed, dragged, or mangled enough to require returns or refunds.

  • It is usable for homeowner and DIY storage, but it feels thinner and closer to an entry-level box than a true heavy-duty cabinet. Compared with US General and older Husky boxes, the steel and overall build are described as less robust.

  • Yes, the drawers come with liners and the cabinet has a keyed lock. One buyer also noted the drawers have soft-close action, which makes daily use feel smoother.

  • Yes, freight can be added at checkout even when the product page says free shipping. The lower and upper pieces reportedly share one shipping charge when bought together, with one order showing $50 total shipping.

No, I don't. But I think shipping would still be $50 even with Walmart plus because it's a large freight delivery.
Were you able to pick a time frame for delivery? If I order, I need to make sure it arrives before I go to work

Alright, so I bought the top 6-drawer and the bottom 9-drawer.

Both arrived today, but on different trucks.

Bottom shipped FedEx freight and top came FedEx ground.

Bottom was delivered perfectly, on a pallet, and no issues. Got it put together (casters, handle, etc.) in about 20 minutes.

Top was smashed up on multiple angles. Dropped at my garage door on its side, dents in multiple parts of the frame, and overall beat to hell.

Returned it to Walmart today for a full refund and reordered, hoping I get lucky with the next one, otherwise, that'll go back too.

Overall, build quality is recent - definitely feels a bit thinner than my old Husky 48" x 24" workbench.

I'm sure it'll hold up just fine. Drawers come with liners, keyed lock if you need it. "Heavy Duty" is a bit of a stretch - I'd say it's about on par with most entry level boxes.

Plan is to move some stuff around, use the old Husky as my worktop, and load this thing up with some tools.

Final note, Hart has been discontinued, but was a Walmart exclusive line from TTI, the same company that makes Milwaukee and Ryobi.

Satisfied with the bottom part, hope to get the top part in good shape, but for $650 + tax shipped to me, it's a pretty decent bargain if you need the tool storage.
This was unfortunately my exact experience also. Freight brought the bottom in perfect shape, ground brought a top that was likely tied to the bumper and dragged all the way to my house. I was able to straighten up most of damage so I will try for a discount from customer service. If that fails then they are sending someone to come get this top.

What makes the Harbor Freight better? Share some of the comparisons that make it better please. Better gauge steel? What is it
Thicker guage of steel and the depth of the entire cabinet. Those 2 differences alone are what makes the us general Carts mych more durable and deserving of the tag "heavy duty" this box is decent but id say its more light duty

No, Estes will just leave it in your driveway. No signature or anything is required, so no-one has to be home. Luckily I was home and the driver was kind of enough to bring the pallet inside of my garage. Estes was really good about tracking and delivery status updates though.

Mine arrived today via FedEx freight. The wood pallet was a bit beat up, but the cardboard box and the cabinet were in perfect shape. If you can win the shipping lottery, this is a really good deal

I reordered and picked up the second one from FedEx's local hub. Perfect condition - just finished setting it up.Happy I did - great box for the price.
