This 52 inch HART tool cabinet stands out as a roomy, good value storage box with deeper drawers than the 36 inch version, ball bearing casters, soft close drawers, liners, and a keyed lock. The build is described as sturdier than the smaller HART cabinets and better than basic entry level boxes, though still lighter duty than US General or heavy duty Husky alternatives. Shipping is the main risk, with freight and FedEx deliveries sometimes arriving damaged or delayed, even though some units arrive in perfect shape. A solid fit for basic homeowner and DIY storage if the shipment goes smoothly.
Common Questions (5)
Shipping damage is a real risk, especially with FedEx, but some units arrive in perfect shape on a pallet or via freight. If you get a clean delivery, the cabinet can be a very good deal; if not, returns or replacements may be needed.
The 52-inch version has deeper drawers, taller overall height from the ball-bearing casters, and less drawer racking than the 36-inch boxes. It also fits larger items like a standard framing square, while the 36-inch layout is seen as more useful by some buyers.
It feels more like an entry-level or light-duty cabinet than a true heavy-duty box. The steel is thinner than a Husky or US General, but it still has soft-close drawers, drawer liners, and a keyed lock.
It weighs about 300 lb and can be assembled in roughly 20 minutes by installing the casters and handle. The weight and soft-close drawers make it feel substantial for basic homeowner or DIY use.
The product page can show free shipping, but freight may be added in the cart. It's worth adding it to checkout before buying so you see the real delivered price.

Both arrived today, but on different trucks.
Bottom shipped FedEx freight and top came FedEx ground.
Bottom was delivered perfectly, on a pallet, and no issues. Got it put together (casters, handle, etc.) in about 20 minutes.
Top was smashed up on multiple angles. Dropped at my garage door on its side, dents in multiple parts of the frame, and overall beat to hell.
Returned it to Walmart today for a full refund and reordered, hoping I get lucky with the next one, otherwise, that'll go back too.
Overall, build quality is recent - definitely feels a bit thinner than my old Husky 48" x 24" workbench.
I'm sure it'll hold up just fine. Drawers come with liners, keyed lock if you need it. "Heavy Duty" is a bit of a stretch - I'd say it's about on par with most entry level boxes.
Plan is to move some stuff around, use the old Husky as my worktop, and load this thing up with some tools.
Final note, Hart has been discontinued, but was a Walmart exclusive line from TTI, the same company that makes Milwaukee and Ryobi.
Satisfied with the bottom part, hope to get the top part in good shape, but for $650 + tax shipped to me, it's a pretty decent bargain if you need the tool storage.

I found the inner dimensions of the drawers about 1.5" inches deeper than the 36" boxes I got recently and it's taller due to the serious ball bearing casters. A standard framing square fits in perfectly now. Its also seems to be built a bit more robust than the 36" boxes. Less racking of the drawers.
Overall, super happy with my purchase. Very tempted to get another one...
