before buy, check the "Replacement Blade" cost. its 114$, almost same cost of the product itself. though first refill its 50% off, but i see this is expensive.

i am currently using Braun series 8 for last 5+ years, the refill cartridge cost is around 50-60$. just sharing my view.

Great deal on the best electric shaver on the market. Too bad the one with the cleaning station is never on sale...

Had my eye on this one for a while. I've always used Braun but I spent WAY too much on my last model (series 9) and it almost immediately started falling apart. Power button cap had a tiny piece of plastic holding it in place, for example. No more. Anyone had experiences with Panasonic they can share?

In my experience, Panasonic shavers last 10 years or more before the battery starts to degrade. I only charge mine when it drops to 10% or right before a trip. I am on my third Panasonic in 28 years, and the older ones were still functioning when I gave them away (only one had a degraded battery, the second one was replaced with a really great SD deal). I have never even replaced the blades on any of them -- so 10yrs-ish. My facial hair is sparse, though. I just shave around my mouth and sideburns daily, which only takes about a minute. So YMMV.

I bought the "Replacement Blade & Foil Set for ARC5 Shavers WES9038" set for only ~$45 while visiting Japan a few months ago. The same set on their US website is selling for $135 is beyond ridiculous!

Btw, the stock Foil will be the first to got out after 1 year of daily usage, while the Blades can last 2+ years from what I'm seeing.

The Braun has 2 foil elements. This one has 4 foil elements. If each foil element can cut the same number of hairs in its lifespan, then this will last twice as long, making the replacement cost about equal to the Braun over time.
