The Ninja Creami Deluxe is praised for turning out Italian ice and ice cream with a texture that can be improved by remixing, high fat bases, and add ins like gums or protein. Refurb units from Woot have arrived looking and operating like new for some purchases, and Woot has handled returns and refunds when units failed. The main cautions are reliability and durability, with reports of units not powering on, needing replugging, or grinding through gears and spindles. Cleanup is also described as awkward because the spindle area is hard to clean.
Home cooks making frozen desserts at home, because it can produce awesome Italian ice and ice cream with a creamy texture.
Shoppers who value a straightforward return path on a refurb, because Woot support can resolve defects with labels and refunds.
People who need a dependable appliance for daily use, because the machine can fail to power on, short out, or wear through its gears and spindle.
Buyers who expect easy cleanup after making frozen treats, because residue can remain around the spindle and the self-cleaning cycle does not clean that area.
Shoppers who want a refurb with low risk of missing or wrong parts, because a refurbished appliance can arrive with incorrect attachments.

They don't have a fail safe mechanism that will shut down the machine if it gets higher resistance. The machine will eat through the gears if that happens. And after a whole lot of prep and effort and freezing for a day, all it does churn for 2 mins; and even that it doesn't do well.
The joke at my home when I used it for the first time was that this was the single worst invention in the history of humanity and humans are regressing at an alarming pace.
