Too bad it's Vizio.

Ever since Walmart bought them, their software has gone downhill and become full of spyware.

Not sure if this one requires a Walmart login in order to use it, but many of them now do.

Can you skip the network connectivity part of the setup process and use it as a dumb TV? I recently factory reset my Hisense Google TV and turned it into a dumb TV, the constant updates and ads flooded launcher just made it laggy and annoying to use.

They claim you can skip it, provided you never want updates.

And unfortunately, Vizio's hardware always needs updates because they beta release everything.

Just make sure you never connect it to a device that has Ethernet over HDMI, because I'm sure they put in a backdoor for that.

On the other hand, if it's going into the basement and you want 100 inch screen, 500 dollars is an insane deal.

After reading reviews I just don't know if I can do it.

Does anyone know if the 3 year warranty applies for this?

Good luck with the seller, last thing I got was supposed to be "Open Box", looked like it was dropped out of a pickup truck.
