Community Reviews
ThermoMaven's instant read thermometer stands out as a fast, easy to read kitchen tool for checking meat and other cooking tasks. The compact body has strong magnets, a hold feature, a built in bottle opener, auto rotating screen, and AAA battery support, and it is praised for accuracy and quick readings. The lifetime warranty requires online registration, and the included battery is worth removing if it will sit unused for a while. At around $7, it is a handy low cost backup or everyday thermometer.
Common Questions (5)
It is reported to read very fast and be accurate enough for home cooking, with multiple owners calling it accurate, easy to use, and easy to read. One comment also says it is close to ThermoWorks performance for a fraction of the cost, though another claims the advertised 0.5-second read time is exaggerated and still fast enough for home use.
It includes a strong magnet, built-in bottle opener, hanging hole, Hold button, auto-rotating screen for left-handed use, and AAA battery power that also works with NiMH rechargeables. It is also described as a bit larger than some other thermometers, which makes it easier to read and convenient to leave on a grill.
The thermometer is described as having a lifetime warranty if you register it online, and that warranty is mentioned as applying to the thermometers rather than all ThermoMaven products. One comment also notes ThermoWorks has a 5-year warranty by comparison.
Yes, the code can apply to multiple units. One order used it on four thermometers for a $44 discount, and another comment says the code still works in the Amazon app after tapping the arrow in the promo code box.
Yes. It has a self-calibration feature using an ice-water bath: insert the probe for one minute, then hold the C/F and Hold buttons for five seconds until it flashes SUC; ERR means repeat the process.

let alone most people likely don't realize you need to test the thermometer 5x more because it's cheap. so there's probably hundreds of these out there people are using that are not showing the correct temperature.
I wouldn't call it a Slickdeal to buy a cheap poor quality product for a little less

It's sad to see how someone can be tricked into being so gullible and easily suckered into throwing away money on a thermometer that doesn't even have a way to hang it on a hook or attach it to a metal surface. But for the low price of $16 you can purchase a silicone cover that has a magnet on it. Thermomaven has been in business long enough that If there were any problems by now we would have long ago heard about it. In the hundreds of reviews I've read, I have not once heard any complaints about inaccurate temperature readings. My Thermomaven will be accurately working far longer than yours if only for the lifetime warranty I have with mine vs. a five year warranty with yours. But keep listening to the YouTube shills and "muh Michelin star chefs" spouting off on their paid for advertising. Hahahahaha!
