Community Reviews
ThermoMaven's instant read thermometer stands out as a fast, accurate, easy to read kitchen tool for grilling and everyday cooking. The compact design includes strong magnets, a built in bottle opener, a hold feature, auto rotating screen, and AAA battery support, with some noting it is bigger and easier to read than other options. It is also backed by a lifetime warranty after online registration and has been praised for support. The main caveat is that the warranty requires registration and the included battery is described as cheap, so removing it during storage may help.
The device is easy to read and reportedly stays accurate and simple to operate.
The thermometer delivers very fast readings that help prevent overcooking during grilling.
The built-in magnets hold securely for hands-free use on a grill or metal surface.
The thermometer includes a self-calibration routine using ice and distilled water for SUC or ERR results.
The included battery is reportedly prone to leakage and corrosion if left installed.
The lifetime warranty reportedly requires online registration before coverage applies.
Brand reliability can be a concern because another thermometer from the brand reportedly quit working after about two years.
The thermometer's warranty terms may be confusing because earlier expectations about warranty length reportedly differed.

Lol yep, how is a $80 thermometer not able to provide lifetime warranty VS a $5 thermometer that can is beyond me..
ThermoWorks is definitely the better of the two (build quality, accuracy, warranty, etc), and it's easily worth the price for a professional kitchen, but these ThermoMaven ones are so close for a fraction of the cost that I have zero problem recommending them for home use.
