The only deal approaching that price, posted here recently, was $25 in early August. Which sold out before the first comment: https://slickdeals.net/f/19845282

I can't find any record of a $20 deal on the game this year.

What's not slick is your announcement of a slick deal AFTER the fact, to criticize a current deal.

Why is this frontpage? Both deals have been there for over two weeks, looks like...

EDIT: Nvm, probably SD "personalizing" things for me somehow.

The cheapest this game has been according to Dekudeals is $15.00 for a physical copy. However that was for like two days in May 2026. It looks like Gamespot has a had a few other low prices such as 19.99 and 25.00.

It certainly has been a few dollars cheaper but is it possible that this is out of print?

EDIT: Purchased for pick-up. Added a pack of Pocky. Used SAVE3X to save $10.00. Not sure if the order will be cancelled though.

Great game but overpriced. It's also incredibly easy, even easier than the original I think since it has a party "action gauge" to do special extra powerful attacks. I know this is supposed to be an easy entry to the JRPG genre but it's really easy even taking that into consideration. The only difficult parts are 1 optional boss and a handful of bosses you can replay in a harder form after beating the game, but that vast majority of people are probably not going to play those after rolling credits.

I haven't picked it up for this reason mainly. The original game is spectacular but wasn't very difficult. It was perfect for casual play. They didn't need to make this version so easy. The ability to scale the difficulty would have been nice.
