I'd buy one of these ahead of a new one from a less reputable maker. A+ on the PSU tier list. In my experience these are essentially if not completely new.

You won't get a 2-year warranty if you buy it that way. Only 90-days.

Different logic, almost make sense but not quite there. It does offer back up usage or even multiple usage, but it does not solve the manufacturer defect or design flaw outside the 2-years period. Not saying I would rather buy a full price than two of these myself, but just saying that buying two for same price or less isn't the same thing as more warranty years.
