Community Reviews

This ABS Cyclone M Aqua is a budget gaming tower built around an i5 14400F and RTX 5060, with enough room for a short term setup and later upgrades. The 1TB SSD and upgrade path make it practical for holding over while GPU prices stay high, and the DDR4 memory can even help if spare DDR4 sticks are already on hand. The main drawbacks are the older DDR4 platform and the 8GB graphics memory, which feels tight for Windows 11 and newer games. The SSD is also called out as QLC, so it is a decent value if you are fine with some compromises.

  • The DDR4 configuration can be advantageous when you already have 4x16GB DDR4 memory available.

  • The system can serve as a solid short-term gaming setup for roughly a year before upgrading parts.

  • The QLC SSD concern may not prevent normal day-to-day use since the unit reportedly works fine most of the time.

  • The RTX 5060 performance is described as strong for 1440p gaming in the referenced configuration.

  • The 8GB GPU and 16GB DDR4 memory may become limiting sooner, and Windows 11 memory usage can reduce available headroom.

  • The build uses DDR4 despite being a 14th gen platform, which can limit future upgrade flexibility.

  • The DDR4 spec can be a drawback if you do not already own DDR4, since an MSI DDR5 alternative is available for about $50 more.

  • The 8GB RTX 5060 is described as effectively a laptop-class GPU, which can make it suitable mainly for budget use.

this is a good deal seeing that gpus are still expensive. upgrade path for this very much possible. solid pc for next 1 year as is, then upgrade parts for the next 2 years to a better chip, ram, and gpu with more ram. 8gb will only be good for so long

8gb is not good now. Win 11 will eat half of that while idle.

You might be referring to RAM. HQ15 was referring to 8GB VRAM.
