Samsung's S95H OLED is the standout here for bright, high end picture quality, with strong shadow detail, tone mapping, color accuracy, motion handling, and very high brightness. The matte, anti glare screen helps in bright rooms, and the 77 inch size drew especially strong value comparisons against Sony Bravia 8 II and LG G6. The main tradeoffs are Samsung's lack of Dolby Vision, the noticeable bezel or frame, and the anti glare finish slightly muting color pop for some setups. It is a compelling premium OLED if those format and design quirks are not deal breakers.

  • The required 10% video discount can be replicated by using a private Edge window, accepting all cookies, disabling adblocking at the network level, and reloading the EPP store before adding to cart.

  • The deal can be obtainable at the advertised EPP price for some buyers, including a reported 65" checkout at $1518.75 before tax after logging into EPP and watching the 10% video on PC.

  • The S95H can deliver strong picture performance in bright rooms, since the matte anti-glare finish can improve visible vibrancy and contrast versus a non-anti-glare OLED in store comparisons.

  • Samsung can refund a large portion of the purchase price by price-matching the lower discounted amount within the return window after screenshots are provided.

  • The 10% video promotion may fail to apply at checkout unless cookies and the video flow are handled correctly, and some purchases still land on the higher pre-discount price.

  • Samsung OLED models in this deal reportedly do not support Dolby Vision formats, which can matter for viewers who rely on Dolby Vision processing.

  • Samsung warranty support can be difficult to deal with compared with alternatives, and at least one comparison claims Samsung creates major headaches during warranty issues.

  • Returns may involve a restocking fee, so the deal's flexibility can be limited if a return becomes necessary.

Does EPP/EDU deals also work if you have the military discount account type?

For those having trouble with the video discount, I had a ton of trouble until I used an incognito Edge browser window with all adblocking on my network disabled.I also had to reload the EPP store once the video discount applied, since it tried to send me to the main Samsung store without the EPP discounts.I'm bummed the S95H has that stupid bezel because this deal is great.
agreed, the bezel is hideous

did you allow it all cookies? that's the main part I believe that requires the 10% video code to work. Here's my 65" cart. I also see a "just for you 10% discount" that's on the account right now, but many others mention also seeing it.
I must not have the extra "just for you 10% discount" since I only see the 10% promo from watching the video. I just created an account through work, is the just for you discount not for new accounts?

Bought the Sony Qd OLED Bravia 8 Ii 55" for $480 more from Costco with 5 yrs total warranty included 2 yrs from Sony and 3 from allstate/squaretrade always had good experience with both of them in the past with warranty issues they were both great unlike Samsung their a huge pain to deal with when it comes to warranty stuff they use to be good like 15 yrs ago not anymore if you have the cash to burn buy the Sony you will be more than extremely satisfied , other then the Samsung headaches their s95h model the brightness is overwhelming and plus that ugly frame. I mean really before buying any of this tv"s check it out in the stores before purchasing. Compare the 2 before making a decision Sony is the clear winner. The old saying goes you get what you pay for

Got a 77 for ~ 2400 in Ohio. Old TV broke and have been patiently waiting to get this or an S95F for a great discount.

Probably would have been fine with the 65. The 77, while still a good price, is 40% more screen for 50% more money.

Also that bezel really does look awful. I probably won't care but I agree it's quite the choice from Samsung.

Thanks!

Samsung actually just refunded me almost $800 thanks to this post. I was within 15 day return window and they price matched the $1518 discounted price when I showed them screenshots. They first offered only $322 but when I requested they double check, credited full difference.

For anyone stuck at 10% only, the combination that worked for people in here was a private window in Edge, all cookies accepted, adblocking off at the network level, the full 60 second video, then reload the EPP store before adding to cart. A couple of them only got there on the reload, so the order of the steps seems to matter as much as the browser.

Very good deal for S90H but the anti-glare on it takes away the color pop you would see on regular panels. Unfortunately no F series available
I've been wondering how the anti-glare is on these tvs. I have an F series and it gets so bright that I haven't had any glare issues yet

I had the S90H delivered from Samsung 10 days ago, 77". I paid $1800. I chatted with an Order Support Agent, and they said they can't credit the promotion for watching the video. The most they would refund was $170 after I told them I wanted to return it. She said I could return and rebuy, but I just mounted it last night and registered it. So I ended up paying $1630 for the 77" S90H, which included the $170 refund.

Has anyone ever heard from Samsung that they won't honor some of their own promotions?
