U can get a Bauer one for $30 with a one time 25% of one item coupon HF often send...then u would need an aluexpress adapter for a dewalt or Milwaukee battery...

Adapter route is fine for a drill, less fine for a caulk gun. The whole point of a powered gun is steady pressure down a long bead, and hanging a battery off an adapter puts the weight in the wrong spot. If you're already on Ridgid I'd just wait for the restock.

You could, but then, in addition what others have already pointed out, if you use RIDGID already, you know you get a lifetime warranty. Though the thought is good, lifetime warranty is something you don't with HF (and you pay for extended warranty past their 90 day window).
In this case, for some folks, quality matters more than price.
