I just finally got the system producing about 6 weeks now. The challenge is having the massive 314ah 48v batteries and figuring out how to charge them. I finally added grid power to help with the lack of solar capacity. Its a balancing act. Power the load, obtain enough solar to be able to also charge the batteries, but at night, reduce the load and run 120v grid power to get the batteries back up while I sleep. Then kill grid power in the morning and solar picks up charging and load. That's assuming a good Texas sunny day. If not, just run the batteries to about 20% thwn grid power. Also using Alexa to help control the smart plugs for my ACs and the grud power. Its been a journey but its been really cool.

Bought one for $100 cheaper a month ago when AliX had a better coupon. Unfortunately it was DOA so I don't have anything good to say about it.

Why do you have to use smart plugs for grid power? Can't you just leave it connected to grid and have the inverter only charge at certain times?

He is using the smart plugs for window AC, not the solar system.
