I've had this setup with a Sony receiver for a few years. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Its not audiophile quality, but its great with my 75 inch tv. Ill never buy another soundbar.

Big fan of jamo towers, bookshelves and center. Can't beat it for the price.

This Jamo bundle is a budget home theater setup that delivers a big upgrade over TV speakers and soundbars, especially for movies and full room sound. The towers and sub are the standout pieces, and the system pairs well with a decent receiver for a living room or larger TV setup. The center channel is the weakest link, and the Atmos upfiring speakers are hit or miss depending on room layout. It is a solid value if you want one kit to cover a whole room without chasing separate pieces.

  • The setup can work well for home theater with a Sony receiver over multiple years.

    PurpleWalrus455

  • The included subwoofer stands out as the strongest part of the bundle's sound.

    CoralMaid682

  • The speakers can noticeably improve TV and movie listening when paired with a decent receiver.

    CrimsonMorning802

  • The bundle can offer strong value for performance compared with higher-priced alternatives.

    LexGregor

  • Atmos performance is a main drawback in this speaker bundle.

    CalmAction122

  • The center channel is weak and may feel mismatched next to the S809 towers.

    prankies

  • The upfiring speakers may act like a rarely used gimmick depending on room layout.

    prankies

  • The sub may not deliver the strong "feel it" bass some people expect.

This vs the energy classics that also come up on sale from time to time?

Energy Take 5 includes a subwoofer and 4 bookshelf speakers. This system is a 8 speakers and provide a full range for home theater or full room sound. You will still need a good receiver for both and a good subwoofer for the Jamo setup. Take 5 was around $160 on sale, and these Jamos are about 2.5x that price. You will notice the difference in sound by far with these speakers.

Interesting since the energy gets hyped up so much

I have the towers and sub running with a WiiM Amp Pro in my living room and love it. You can likely find a better deal on a better, used receiver than what I ended up with but I lacked the space.

I got the same set up and love it. I just don't know what else would beat this from a cost perspective. What's the next logical upgrade lol

Keep in mind, you're comparing towers setup to a satellite one.
The Take 5s only comes into play if you're very room restricted imo

I have the same, been like 5+ years now and they work great for the price (minus the two atmos).

What's the weak point... Sub or center? I've seen both mentioned as weak points of this setup.
