I purchased one of these on the last round and so far so good. If it does start heating up it seems to throttle itself, as it should. Its nice to be able to charge the phone to laptop without having to be tethered to the wall. The cord is heavy duty and seems like they mean it to be a carry loop but I'm skipping that feature if thats how it was designed.
