You can get a pretty nice Lenovo with equivalent or better specs cheaper or close to this price (and it won't necessarily lock you into an ecosystem and constantly use AI to spy on you).

I get the AI part, but this has Google Play. You would be in the same Android ecosystem as the Lenovo.

No, no. I'm talking about Amazon and Alexa. I'm sure it's so completely integrated into the core you can't just ADB it off. I did that with Google on my phone. There's no AI services on my devices. If it can't be done on device without an Internet connection, I don't need it. I'll bet these tablets would be a nightmare to do the same to.

The MediaTek MT8189 is a terrible choice on this, slower than Samsung budget tab a11+.

DOA at that price w/ the MT8189, even with the 20% trade-in, a bum deal. The 8" is a hundred less with the same chip, and the 12 Pro has the MT8400, which is 3X the performance of this chip. Makes this SKU the very odd man out.

Lenovo Tab Plus Gen2 is $100 even without coupons, and it beats it in almost every department, plus it has an amazing JBL speaker and a cool stand/ring. I'd pick that over this uninspired tablet any day of the week.

I'm astounded that Amazon put so little effort into making a tablet. They even have an ex Microsoft hardware guy leading the department who designed the entire Surface line. I dont understand what they were thinking.

Ill miss the days of them just adding tech to anything and everything and seeing what sticks.

Am I missing something here? I'm still looking for a better deal than this. These will be faster than the onn table's. I'm mostly interested in the 8inch myself.
