This 20,000mAh power bank stands out for cheap high wattage charging, especially for Lenovo gear and other USB C devices that can use its 140W output. It is described as a rebadged TALIX or Lenovo unit, with support for Samsung Super Fast Charging and fast phone top ups, including an iPhone 15 Pro from 15 to 75 percent in about 25 minutes. The built in cable is awkward, and it can run hot and lose efficiency at lower voltages, so sustained peak output is limited. It is a strong value if you want a budget battery for short bursts of serious charging.

  • The power bank can deliver Samsung Super Fast Charging on compatible devices.

  • The pack supports Lenovo-developed 20V/7A USB-C used by some higher-draw Lenovo gaming laptops.

  • The device can charge an iPhone 15 Pro from 15% to 75% in about 25 minutes.

  • Charging a Legion laptop with the Talix charger can yield around 10 hours of battery life during normal work.

  • Claims about higher-voltage support are inconsistent, with some evidence pointing only to 20W/5A standard USB-C PD.

  • The power bank can be inefficient at lower voltages, which may reduce effective capacity.

  • The power bank can get hot and may not sustain 100W continuously due to throttling.

  • The built-in cable design may be inconvenient for everyday use.

Hot darn, that's a pretty good price for that capacity. Reviews seem to think it's a rebadged Lenovo charger. The built-in cable seems stupid (is it supposed to function like a lanyard?) but otherwise the specs are great.

EDIT: actually it looks like this is a rebadged TALIX charger, but they're owned by Lenovo apparently? The equivalent TALIX charger is $70, but frequently on sale for $50 or $60.

Both companies are owned by Lenovo so it seems likely.

Bought the Talix version and I'm very happy with it. Does Super Fast Charging on our Samsungs. In for another.

This charger is rather inefficient at lower voltages for some reason, the rated output capacity is 11150 mAh at 5 volts. It could be due to all the cells being in series, meaning it has to convert 14.5 volts down to 5 when slow charging devices. You might get better results if you stick to fast charging and discharging only with this pack.

These are pretty good power banks for the price. A really nice perk is that they support the Lenovo-developed standard 20V/7A USB-C that is used for their particularly some of the gaming laptops that have higher draw.

It's a good thing that it only supports 140 watts to devices from one manufacturer, instead of all of them? You're better off only drawing what is needed for the computer itself when charging from an external battery, as moving power from one battery to another wastes power twice from conversion losses. Unless your goal is to keep discharging and recharging this battery every 25 minutes instead of just plugging the laptop into the power source you're charging the battery with.

I didn't bring up any of what you're going on about. If people want 140W via 28V/5A there are plenty of other batteries that do support it and I would recommend they look elsewhere. And who would charge with a power bank if there's an outlet nearby?

My point is that it is good for charging Lenovo devices that use 140W 20V/7A draw when away from an outlet and need to get enough juice to finish a task. 20V/7A support is quite rare and this is pretty cheap. Would I prefer Lenovo move to 28V/5A? Yes but until that happens this is a nice substitute.

As for "You're better off only drawing what is needed for the computer itself when charging from an external battery," that applies to nearly any scenario that involves charging from a power bank as the charge rate will never match the system draw.

I bought a bunch of these last time they are on sale. imo best bang for your buck (except when the unbranded plain TALIX shows up later for a few bucks less)

only downsides is it does get hot so can't sustain 100w 100% of the time, I think it can up to 50% or so though. Still, it's 1/3 the price of the similar specced Lenovo 140w charger I also have, which does have better cooling but still throttles eventually too...

I purchased this last time it was around. Good price. Charged my phone fairly fast. 15-75% in about 25 mins. iPhone 15 pro.

Yup, I use it for charging my Legion with the 350/5070. With the IGPU on and just doing normal work I get about 10 hours of battery life with the Talix charger. Might pickup another on this deal, they are great.

You mentioned that it's good it supports 20v/7a, but that's not going to do anything for most people like I explained. Proprietary protocols are not good for anybody.

There are no laptops that would require 140 watts and not run fine with 100 watts. Charging your laptop battery with an external battery just to drain it again within a few minutes will waste a bunch of power as heat. If it only needs to last a few more minutes, you'll survive with 60 watts until you can plug it into the wall. The battery would only output 140 watts for a few minutes anyways before overheating. The real world use case with laptops is practically zero.

It can match system draw if your computer supports charge limiting, which my Lenovo laptop does. Once it reaches 60 percent (or whatever percent you set it to), it only draws what's needed.
