Looks like this is the set Project Farm had in a test two years ago that performed pretty well. I'm in for a set!

Bought a set like a year ago when they were around this price. All the knives are holding up well, no complaints there. The knife block itself has a black finish which has gotten a bit marked up where the knives slot in as the blades wear on the wood, but more an observation than a a complaint at this cost, would buy again.

For the price, yes. You want to get good quality steel (this is not bad as it's German hi carbon), full tang blades (this has it) and good sharpness/ edge retention. This set has all three pretty evenly. 👍

Thanks! I ordered them, I always get cheap junk knives that get rusted. My brother has that nice Ninja setup very sharp but its so expensive. Now I need a nice small stainless steel pot and pans setup.

Bought a set a couple of years ago after watched Project Farm's review titled "This Budget Chef's Knife Set Just Embarrassed $250 Japanese Knives!".
The knives are very sharp, and handle well. Up to date they are still sharp.

Knife sets don't make sense 99% of the time. Anyone who preps and cooks multiple days a week are better off buying individual knives. Then you can buy knives you actually use. Think of it, how often are you using a utility knife or pairing knife or slicing knife? Serrated steak knives don't even make sense. A good chefs knife can be used for nearly all knife work.

If you want to make an attempt with good knives, Victorinox fibrox is often suggested for quality and value. Then learn how to keep it sharp.

I'm not even much of a home chef and upgrading from these BS block sets to some Global brand knives has made all the difference. They're beautiful, feel good in the hand, and are sharp AF. If they're good enough for Anthony Bourdain, they're good enough for me 😂

I have used these knives for a few years now; I have this exact set. They stay sharp for a very long time and if you handwash them instead of tossing them in the dishwasher which you should not do with any quality knife, they will serve you really well

Tested the code and it brings it down to $60.49 before tax. If you look at the breakdown, you're getting a chef's knife, santoku, bread knife, shears, and 6 steak knives—individually that would cost way more. It's 1.4116 German steel, which is standard for decent entry-level kitchen knives (easy to sharpen, good rust resistance). Great bang for the buck.

I was on the fence but your experience along with the Project Farm review convinced me to give this a shot. Thanks!

I actually have used all the knives from this set (though not all the time, the most used are the steak knives, pairing knife and chef knife).

I came here to say this. I bought this set over a year ago and it's still as crazy sharp and durable as ever but I have also washed this set by hand only but for $60 this set is a steal watch the video from project farm and you'll be a believer!
