I know this is a good price for this but I'm looking for a sound system to replace an old Yamaha receiver that inputs several devices HDMI (cable box, game system, and BluRay player) and outputs them through the speakers and video through the TV,

Looking for something to duplicate this but have the ability to enhance voices while watching cable. Is this a good choice or are other options better?

If you have the speakers already, easiest is just replacing the Yamaha.
Some receivers offer dialog enhancement of some kind.

I would suggest sticking to popular brands & just go used.
Just make sure it offers the features you need.
