Solid deal for under $143! While 128GB of internal storage is plenty for everyday social media and browsing, the big win is the built-in MicroSD card slot supporting up to 2TB expansion
I think for streaming and browsing, it will be perfect. Throw in an SD card and load up a bunch of movies and you're set.

Found an open box excellent at Best Buy for $119. Picking up today.

This is a solid deal at $69, not $142.
Again....
CPU... too slow (this was the budget CPU to buy like 4 years ago)
RAM... Not enough (boggle's down system)
Hard Drive... Very old tech (not very snappy)

August 2022... that is when the G99 CPU was released. CHEAP BUDGET CPU... 4.5 years ago. The Dimensity 6300 is essentially an optimized, 5G-enabled version of the Helio G99.

AGAIN... 4.5 years ago, this was basically the BUDGET LOW LEVEL CPU/GPU to get. AND I would say it was cheaper 4.5 years ago. PRE AI, after 4.5 years, normally the price would be like 35% of the original price... today, it is more expensive.

CPU is too slow for what? Too slow for email? Too slow for browsing or Instagram? For streaming -- won't stream Netflix or Paramount?

I'm open to a better tablet for $150...what do you suggest?

CPU is too slow to have a good Android experience. I have been recommending the G99 as the lowest level CPU you should buy four years ago. Also, 4GB or RAM will also hinder a person to having a good Android experience... four years ago, the G99's almost all had 8GB or RAM.

At this point, if you want the cheapest tablet that will give you a good experience... I recommend an ipad today. I paid $235 for the idea tab pro (has been replaced) which has a highend CPU... I purchased it on May 26th, these deals will come again. And I will look into your querry regarding a budget of $150.00.

I only spent like 3 minutes but I would get this tablet for $159 at Walmart instead...

Same Harddrive tech, screen is not as great (but close enough to the Lenovo), but double the RAM and much faster CPU (true midgrade CPU). Also, having the Lenvo push all those pixels is another reason why the CPU is too slow.

Thanks! I picked up a "fair condition" one for $110. It has some fingerprint smudges and doesn't come with the charge cable. My usage is just media consumption and light web browsing. I picked up a Lenovo Tab ONE for $67 (also "fair condition" and also looks brand new) based on a recent deal (link below). Now I need to decide which to keep.

https://slickdeals.net/f/20132121-lenovo-tab-one-8-7-hd-ips-touch-helio-g85-4gb-lpddr4-64gb-emmc-from-67-99

This is not much of a deal at $142.49 when Best Buy sells them without coupon for $149.99

I appreciate the recommendation. I did pick up this Lenovo from BB this morning. It's for my step-dad (he's OLD) and laid up in a care facility for a week so I was just looking for something he can watch shows and check his email. Then, when he gets home, he can fiddle with it at home.

I did look up the CPU in your no-name tablet at Walmart. I would probably have to add the $39 2-year plan as there would be no reasonable warranty on this tablet should it crap out after the return period (which is now JAN 31 thanks to HOLIDAY time!). The CPU in your recommendation is faster than this Dim 6300 but I'll check it out and let you know. I'm someone who has/wants the best of the best and the fastest of everything so we'll see if this Lenovo completely gets on my nerves. Wink

If this were the version with 8 GB of RAM at this price, then maybe this would be a decent price. As it is, this version was a lot lower than this price last year at Black Friday.

This should be $50. It's closer to an Amazon Fire tablet in performance. Basically e-waste. No updates .

I bought one and while it's no iPad Pro in performance, it has a beautiful screen and is responsive enough. I've had Fire Tablets that are laggy and slow and this tablet is not that. This is great for media consumption, social media and some basic productivity.

I would bet you've never owned this tablet but here you are with an opinion of it. Slow day in your life?

Nearly everything is lower in price during Black Friday. What's your point? Unfortunately, it's not Black Friday yet.

im not trying to dismiss your input because i find people that question deals one of the few remaining valuable sources of info on this damn website... but can you find me a better performing android tablet at under $150, or a similar performing android tablet at $70? even if not right now... a past deal(that has the potential to happen again?

im after a large screen tablet to replace my 12.4" Galaxy Tab S7 FE which this would be an upgrade to.
