Is this as convenient as a basket air fryer? I know it's probably cleaner and healthier but looks like slightly more work

Honestly, I love mine. Sold my basket air fryer after getting this. Thinking about getting another to cook 2 things at once.

I love this thing and use it all the time but if there's one thing I hate, you have zero control over temperature. It's just a heating element with a few different fan settings. If you're trying to heat up something like a frozen pastry, it's either going to be charred to a crisp or burnt on the outside and still cold on the inside. There's no way to set it to 250° or so

I've read reports that it doesn't cook as well as a basket due to potential heat leakage because of the poorly-insulated glass.

Have you found that to be the case?

I currently daily a Cosori with a metal basket and the aforementioned is the only thing holdng me back from getting the CRISPI

I have not found that to be an issue as of yet. I have used it about 60 times in the first month (lunch and dinner daily). I have not had anything uncooked. Mostly being doing chicken, tofu, and "longer to cook veggies" like carrots and potatoes and sweet potatoes. Everything perfect so far

And why is this better than an typical basket style air fryer? I see all negatives.

Plastic is the reason for this

There's a lot of basket air fryer without plastic in the basket or chamber, so I don't see that as a benefit.

I agree but that's what this is marketed for over plastic/coated metals .

I switched to this a month ago and it's awesome. I love that I just throw the basins in the dishwasher and just wipe down the lid with a damp cloth being the extent of my cleaning. It's nice to be able to see what your cooking looks like through the glass. I'm considering getting an extra glass basin just because I can fit another couple in the dishwasher and keep air frying stuff constantly. The fan is extremely powerful. I couldn't put a piece of toast in there without seeing it floating right up to the lid. It's just so powerful that even air fry recipes on products should be used at the lower than recommended time settings.

zero problem here with that at all, frankly it cooks things faster than I would have expected it too and I have to keep a close eye on it depending what it is
