This Hisense dual hose portable air conditioner stands out for quiet operation and solid cooling, especially in bedrooms and other spaces with vaulted ceilings. The inverter design is described as much quieter than non inverter models, and sleep mode stays very quiet even though full blast can be loud. It has handled rooms around 120 square feet, a large master bedroom, and even a 1200 square foot garage when needed. Refurbished units have arrived with scuffs or resealed boxes, and the water collection setup can reduce efficiency and require a bucket.
Common Questions (5)
It can handle a bedroom or study well and has kept larger vaulted-ceiling rooms cool through summer. In very high-90s outdoor heat, it may struggle to keep up, especially in rooms with extra air leakage or added space.
Yes. It is reported to be much quieter than non-inverter portable ACs, with sleep mode especially quiet. At full blast it can still be loud, but the inverter design and quiet mode make it noticeably easier to live with.
Refurbished units have arrived looking brand new or barely used, but cosmetic wear can vary. Reported examples include a resealed box, light scuffs, and a unit that appeared unused aside from minor marks.
It can run without a drain because it collects and evaporates water internally. That setup may reduce efficiency, and some owners place the unit on a stool and catch the water in a bucket after removing the plug.
The eBay listing is reported to include a warranty, though the exact terms were not specified in the comments.

In my experience a window unit is a lot easier to store and install unless you really need a portable model.
I feel dumb, but I didn't realize my Hisense doesn't need a drain because it lets collect and evaporate, which makes it less efficient. I set it up on a stool, removed the plug, and put a bucket underneath of it the next day when I realized.
