I bought one a couple weeks ago and it's working great so far. It's so much quieter compared to non-inverter models. The one I received didn't appear to be used, but had a few scuffs on it.
Community Reviews
This Hisense dual hose portable AC is praised for strong cooling and notably lower noise than many non inverter units, especially in quiet or sleep mode. It has kept bedrooms, upstairs rooms with vaulted ceilings, and even a large garage comfortable, and the smart control works for remote on and off plus temperature changes through Apple HomeKit. The main drawbacks are bulky hoses, some cosmetic scuffs or resealed boxes on arrival, and a few reports of weaker cooling in extreme heat or design quirks like a broken airflow flap. A solid compact cooling option if you can live with portable AC tradeoffs.
Common Questions (4)
It can handle a small bedroom very well and has also kept a vaulted-ceiling upstairs room and even a 1200 sq ft garage cool when central AC failed. In extreme high-90s outdoor heat, it may struggle to keep up, especially in less airtight spaces.
It is reported to be much quieter than non-inverter portable ACs, with a very quiet sleep/quiet mode that can work for phone calls from about 5 feet away. At full blast it is still loud, so the quieter modes are the practical choice for sleeping or working.
Units have arrived resealed and otherwise brand new, but some have visible scuffs or minor fin bends. That means the unit can function normally while still showing cosmetic wear from prior handling.
It reportedly does not need a drain hose for normal use because it collects and evaporates condensate on its own. If you want to manage the water differently, a bucket can be placed under the drain after removing the plug.

In my experience a window unit is a lot easier to store and install unless you really need a portable model.
I feel dumb, but I didn't realize my Hisense doesn't need a drain because it lets collect and evaporate, which makes it less efficient. I set it up on a stool, removed the plug, and put a bucket underneath of it the next day when I realized.
hvac company wanted 15k to install 2 minisplits. gtfo.
Fair point, but it could've also gotten scuffed from shipping damage or maybe it was a display unit.

I'm thinking about buying a minisplit but might forward this deal to a friend who has a single tube unit.
