I bought one a couple weeks ago and it's working great so far. It's so much quieter compared to non-inverter models. The one I received didn't appear to be used, but had a few scuffs on it.
Community Reviews
This Hisense dual hose portable AC is praised for strong cooling and notably lower noise than many non inverter units, especially in quiet or sleep mode. It has kept bedrooms, upstairs rooms with vaulted ceilings, and even a large garage comfortable, and the smart control works for remote on and off plus temperature changes through Apple HomeKit. The main drawbacks are bulky hoses, some cosmetic scuffs or resealed boxes on arrival, and a few reports of weaker cooling in extreme heat or design quirks like a broken airflow flap. A solid compact cooling option if you can live with portable AC tradeoffs.
The inverter design can run noticeably quieter than non-inverter portable AC models.
Sleep mode can stay quiet enough for phone calls from several feet away.
The unit can cool a large garage when central air fails.
Apple HomeKit control can enable remote on/off and temperature lowering.
Cooling performance can struggle during high-90s outdoor temperatures in heat-trapping upstairs spaces.
The air intake grill may need periodic washing to prevent the unit from making compensating noise.
The air flow flap can break within about a week, which can change airflow direction.
The dual-hose setup can be bulky and the exhaust placement may risk recirculating heat into the intake.

In my experience a window unit is a lot easier to store and install unless you really need a portable model.
I feel dumb, but I didn't realize my Hisense doesn't need a drain because it lets collect and evaporate, which makes it less efficient. I set it up on a stool, removed the plug, and put a bucket underneath of it the next day when I realized.
hvac company wanted 15k to install 2 minisplits. gtfo.
Fair point, but it could've also gotten scuffed from shipping damage or maybe it was a display unit.

I'm thinking about buying a minisplit but might forward this deal to a friend who has a single tube unit.
