Refurbished on eBay is $10 cheaper if you want to go that route. I did when they were $55 each, now $63.

Spend the extra $7 to get the Asrock Steel Legend SL-850G for $79.99. The corsair is rated B+ by SPL and the Asrock is rated A

The RM850e features a compact 140mm depth, which leaves extra clearance for modular cables in tight mATX or compact ATX cases.
Personally I prefer semi-modular PSUs, where the 24 pin cable and the EPS cable are already mounted.

In a fully modular PSU, the hard plastic connectors for both of those cables intrude in to the space a bit in a tight build, whereas in the semi-modulars the cables are already mounted and are more flexible (within reason) in the PSU mounting space.

Thanks for posting this OP Smilie ... if I understand correctly since Best Buy mentions it's a "ATX 3.1" power supply I think it's a "B" rating on the power supply list

here's some reviews if it helps anyone

I did the same last week. This one is with 7 years warranty vs only 2 for the refurbished.

I think the biggest fail point on these PSU units is the fan. When I built my last PC I replaced the stock PSU fan with a high end Noctua fan that cost almost half the price of the PSU.

I can't speak for this unit specifically but over the last 20 years I have only used Corsair PSUs in my builds. They typically make solid units.
