Now, I haven't printed anything on my AD5x as a stock printer in a while, but according to at least one facebook post https://www.facebook.co
Now, switching over to Zmod's Bambufy Wipe Tower Type 1, there would be 690 filament changes. This is a huge difference compared to stock AD5x (tested both on Orca and Flash Studio). Presuming that Bambufy purges the same filament weight, that would be 171.81g total, or 44.077g saved just using Zmod. I went and measured out 10g of purge out of my poop basket, and then counted how many pieces that was; I ended up with 47 purged bits, so that was an average of 0.213g per purge, using the Bambufy Wipe Tower Type 1. 0.213g x 690 = 146.809g, or 69.078g saved over stock. If you go with Wipe Tower Type 2 (aka nopoop), I believe the AD5x will not purge at all, relying on the prime tower instead(?). I could test this but have not yet as of this post, but if it does what it says it does, then it would produce 0 purges similar to the Creator 5 and pro.
Almost 70g of saved filament is no joke for just firmware flash, and 215g of filament saved on purges is an even bigger save if you don't have to. But you also have to keep in mind the price of both the AD5x and the Creator 5. Last I checked, the AD5x was going for about $210 on Ali whereas this one is $507. Over double the price. If you pick up 10kg Kingroon filament on sale, that's what, about $7/kg, or $0.007/g. $0.007/g x 215g = $1.51. I'd have to print that Spiderman almost 200 times once per plate to make up the cost of the Creator 5. I wouldn't specifically get a Creator 5 for those kinds of savings, but that's just my opinion (which is why I picked up the Pro).
Hope this helps.

Flashforge Creator 5 is a four toolhead multi color printer built for faster, lower waste color changes and mixed filament prints. The separate heads enable purgeless operation, and tool changes are described as much faster than filament swapping on single nozzle machines. It also gets credit for redundancy, since printing can continue with the other heads if one needs repair. The main tradeoffs are the higher price, a slower current firmware experience, and the need for a prime tower that still uses some filament. It looks best for shoppers who value speed and multi material flexibility over simplicity and cost.
Common Questions (5)
The official Flashforge AliExpress store has shipped units from the US, sometimes even from an Amazon warehouse, and buyers reported receiving legitimate packaging. Ordering through the official store matters because third-party listings can be unreliable.
It uses 4 separate toolheads, so multicolor printing is purgeless in the sense that it does not rely on filament swaps. It still uses a prime tower for priming, so some waste and extra time remain depending on how many color changes the model needs.
The Creator 5 can finish multicolor jobs much faster because tool changes take about 5 seconds, while AD5X filament swaps can take over a minute. For complex multicolor models, that can cut print time by roughly half or more.
Yes, it can print ABS and is also used for materials like PA and ASA when a heated enclosure is needed. The heated chamber is a key reason to choose it over a non-enclosed multi-tool printer.
The code can work directly, and one working code reported was IFPXI3XN. If it does not apply, adding filler items to push the cart over the threshold can trigger the discount and bring the total under $500.

Luckily you weren't wasting someone's time on the other end.
Stuff like this is why community members here can be so bitter as well. You literally wasted the time of the other commentors trying to help you.
Bed on this one is larger (220mm for the AD5X vs 256mm for this one)
Speed, sure.
What else?
You were wasting people's time "I've completely screwed myself just trying to get this thing in my cart that I'm not going to buy anyway."
No point in your revisionist history.

That is a huge difference. The Creator 5 and the Creator 5 Pro are different enough to not even ask here. If I'm deciding between the AD5X and C5 ... C5 Pro is too much for me.

This is a deal site, not a lawyer's office. You're wasting my time as much as he is. Who cares.
