Now, I haven't printed anything on my AD5x as a stock printer in a while, but according to at least one facebook post https://www.facebook.co
Now, switching over to Zmod's Bambufy Wipe Tower Type 1, there would be 690 filament changes. This is a huge difference compared to stock AD5x (tested both on Orca and Flash Studio). Presuming that Bambufy purges the same filament weight, that would be 171.81g total, or 44.077g saved just using Zmod. I went and measured out 10g of purge out of my poop basket, and then counted how many pieces that was; I ended up with 47 purged bits, so that was an average of 0.213g per purge, using the Bambufy Wipe Tower Type 1. 0.213g x 690 = 146.809g, or 69.078g saved over stock. If you go with Wipe Tower Type 2 (aka nopoop), I believe the AD5x will not purge at all, relying on the prime tower instead(?). I could test this but have not yet as of this post, but if it does what it says it does, then it would produce 0 purges similar to the Creator 5 and pro.
Almost 70g of saved filament is no joke for just firmware flash, and 215g of filament saved on purges is an even bigger save if you don't have to. But you also have to keep in mind the price of both the AD5x and the Creator 5. Last I checked, the AD5x was going for about $210 on Ali whereas this one is $507. Over double the price. If you pick up 10kg Kingroon filament on sale, that's what, about $7/kg, or $0.007/g. $0.007/g x 215g = $1.51. I'd have to print that Spiderman almost 200 times once per plate to make up the cost of the Creator 5. I wouldn't specifically get a Creator 5 for those kinds of savings, but that's just my opinion (which is why I picked up the Pro).
Hope this helps.

FLASHFORGE Creator 5 is a four tool multi material printer built for faster multicolor jobs and low waste tool changes. The larger 256 millimeter bed, separate heads, and heated enclosure support make it appealing for bigger prints and materials like ABS, PA, and ASA. Tool changes are much quicker than filament swapping, and the extra heads add redundancy if one needs repair. The main tradeoffs are more manual filament handling, slower nozzle access, and prime tower waste that still reduces the expected savings.
Common Questions (5)
The Creator 5 is a 4-tool machine with separate heads, so tool changes are much faster and multicolor prints can finish in about half the time. The AD5X uses automatic filament feeding/cutting/retracting, but the Creator 5 avoids long filament swaps and can keep printing with the other heads if one needs repair.
It uses a prime tower rather than the same purge-heavy filament swapping used by some other systems, so there is no poop bucket waste from tool changes. The tradeoff is that you still need a prime tower, and for prints with only a few color changes the waste and time can be similar to other setups.
Yes, it is being used for ABS and for materials like PA and ASA when the heated enclosure matters. It is also being used for multicolor jobs with many layer changes, where the multi-tool setup is the main advantage.
Purchases through the official Flash Forge store on AliExpress were reported as fine, and some orders shipped from within the US and arrived in as little as 3 days. Third-party listings are the bigger risk, so the official store is the safer choice.
Yes, the Creator 5 has a larger build area at 256 mm versus 220 mm on the AD5X. That extra bed size is one of the main differences people point to when comparing the two models.

Luckily you weren't wasting someone's time on the other end.
Stuff like this is why community members here can be so bitter as well. You literally wasted the time of the other commentors trying to help you.
Bed on this one is larger (220mm for the AD5X vs 256mm for this one)
Speed, sure.
What else?
You were wasting people's time "I've completely screwed myself just trying to get this thing in my cart that I'm not going to buy anyway."
No point in your revisionist history.

That is a huge difference. The Creator 5 and the Creator 5 Pro are different enough to not even ask here. If I'm deciding between the AD5X and C5 ... C5 Pro is too much for me.

This is a deal site, not a lawyer's office. You're wasting my time as much as he is. Who cares.
