Community Reviews
Nothing Headphone a is a stylish over ear model that stands out for battery life, comfort, and a bass friendly sound. The app equalizer gets praise for adding more bass potential, and the on ear controls and small power toggle are especially well liked. ANC is described as decent, though the XM4 still has stronger noise canceling, and the headphones do not support automatic pause when removed. A few comments also flag sharp sound, channel imbalance, and concerns about long term support, so it feels best suited to listeners who value looks, battery, and controls most.
Common Questions (5)
The Nothing Headphone (a) can sound decent to very good for the price, with a fun V-shaped tuning and strong bass potential if you use EQ. Sony XM4/XM5 are reported to sound better overall, while one comparison says the Nothing can sound better than the XM4 but still has weaker ANC.
At around $200, refurbished Sony QC2 or XM5 models are suggested as better value, and refurbished Sonys are recommended over the Nothing even at this price. The Nothing is more compelling under $150, especially if you care about looks, bass, or battery life.
Battery life is a standout feature and can run for very long stretches, with one owner using them 70-100 hours per week mostly with ANC on. That makes them a strong pick if you want to charge headphones infrequently.
They are described as well-built and very comfortable, with good ANC and especially strong on-ear controls. The small toggle power switch is also a plus because it avoids the need to hold a button down.
The headphones reportedly do not reliably detect when they are removed or put back on, so auto-pausing may not work as expected. If that feature matters, this is a practical drawback to know before buying.

If price is flexible, the Bose QC line are the most comfortable, as the name implies. As far as on topic, Nothing seems to have zero support and a product that will break. So, caveat emptor.
I know anker & bose will straight up send you a new one in the warranty window.
