These are surprisingly good keyboards. I have the C64 one and it's one of my favourites in the collection. Really considering this one at this price as well, but recent other purchases have blown the nerd budget for a while. Really good deal.
8BitDo's Retro 87 key mechanical keyboard stands out as a well built, satisfying board with easy switch swapping, strong battery life over the 2.4 gigahertz dongle, and a retro look that fits the line's appeal. The box white switches are especially praised for their feel, and the current price is described as the best seen for these keyboards, well below a prior Cyber Monday purchase around $90. The main drawbacks are the loud typing sound, the lack of a number pad, and no black lighting. A separate hand rest may help comfort, especially for longer sessions.
Mechanical keyboard fans who like box white switches, because the typing feel is satisfying and the switches are easy to swap.
It uses box white switches and is louder than a typical office keyboard, so it may be too noisy for shared workspaces. It is better suited to home use if you want a clicky, satisfying typing feel.

wholeheartedly agree with this but I cannot resist, I'm getting one.
Great deal. I've had this keyboard for about 2 or so years. Well built and designed. Only con for me is no black lighting, but it isn't much of an issue.

Be warned. This keyboard is too loud, not good for office environment but I use it at home and love it. It's so satisfying to type on it.
Doubtful too many would bring this into their office unless they work industrial/warehouse! it's actually not as cloud as typical clicky. these are box white switches and pleasure typing

My absolute favorite switches. I have an MSI keyboard with them (vigor elite, discontinued a few years ago) that i love. Kept trying to find another when I found the 8bitdo, great keyboard if they like these switches.

i have a larger version of the keyboard, which has the numpads.
It's a solid keyboard, I would recommend getting a separate hand rest while you are using this keyboard though.

For what it's worth, I got mine last year on Cyber Monday off Amazon for ~$90.
