These are surprisingly good keyboards. I have the C64 one and it's one of my favourites in the collection. Really considering this one at this price as well, but recent other purchases have blown the nerd budget for a while. Really good deal.
The 8BitDo Retro 87 key mechanical keyboard stands out as a well built, satisfying typing board with Bluetooth, 2.4 gigahertz, and USB C connectivity. The box white switches get praise for their pleasant feel, easy switch swapping, and strong battery life on the dongle, and the current price is described as the best seen for this line. The main drawbacks are the loud clicky sound, the lack of a number pad, and no included keycap puller. It is a compact retro keyboard that fits best where noise and missing numpad space are not dealbreakers.
Home typists who want a satisfying mechanical board, because it is praised as fantastic to type on and comfortable for daily work use.
It is loud enough to be distracting in shared spaces and is not ideal for an office desk next to other people. It uses box white switches, which are satisfying to type on but still clicky, so it fits home or personal workspaces better than quiet offices.
Yes, the switches are easy to swap, and the board can also take silent switch upgrades if you want a quieter setup. That makes it flexible for people who like the stock feel but want to customize the sound or typing feel.
Was going to instabuy but showing 2 week delivery estimate wtf... its Sold & shipped by Amz, thats odd. Usually this wouldnt be an issue for me but Im travelling for 3 months next week, this wouldve been so clutch as I just sold my wired corsair keyb too

The deal will likely be back. It was this same price in late August when I grabbed one.
This is my work keyboard (I work at Nintendo), and I loved it so much I bought the full version to use at home. Best keyboard I've ever used. At this price I kind of want to buy another one for a backup
Its sold out, a fun keyboard.
4 key puller https://www.amazon.com/Keycap-Pul...ref=sr_1_4 (cheaper on aliexpress) not included but good getting out anything that falls in, and the key switches are removed with a 2 prong type remover or tweezer, the 4 prong doesn't work. the clips are on the bottom and top.

Huge agree. I pre-ordered this and forgot about it and it came in and is my daily driver for WFH. Never given me a single issue. Fantastic to type on.
