These are surprisingly good keyboards. I have the C64 one and it's one of my favourites in the collection. Really considering this one at this price as well, but recent other purchases have blown the nerd budget for a while. Really good deal.
The 8BitDo Retro 87 key mechanical keyboard stands out as a well built, satisfying typing board with Bluetooth, 2.4 gigahertz, and USB C support. The box white switches feel great, the battery life is strong on the 2.4 gigahertz dongle, and the switches are easy to swap if you want to customize it. The main drawbacks are the loud clicky sound, which can bother nearby coworkers, and the lack of a number pad. The current price is far below past Amazon pricing, making it an appealing compact option if you want a retro style mechanical keyboard.
Home typists who want a satisfying mechanical board, because it is praised as great to type on and comfortable for daily use at home.
It uses clicky Box White switches, so it is loud enough to bother nearby coworkers and is better suited to home use. The typing feel is described as very satisfying, but it is not ideal for a quiet office.
No, the 87-key version does not include a number pad. If you need one, the larger version with a numpad is the alternative, or you can add a separate keypad.
Was going to instabuy but showing 2 week delivery estimate wtf... its Sold & shipped by Amz, thats odd. Usually this wouldnt be an issue for me but Im travelling for 3 months next week, this wouldve been so clutch as I just sold my wired corsair keyb too

The deal will likely be back. It was this same price in late August when I grabbed one.
This is my work keyboard (I work at Nintendo), and I loved it so much I bought the full version to use at home. Best keyboard I've ever used. At this price I kind of want to buy another one for a backup
Its sold out, a fun keyboard.
4 key puller https://www.amazon.com/Keycap-Pul...ref=sr_1_4 (cheaper on aliexpress) not included but good getting out anything that falls in, and the key switches are removed with a 2 prong type remover or tweezer, the 4 prong doesn't work. the clips are on the bottom and top.

Huge agree. I pre-ordered this and forgot about it and it came in and is my daily driver for WFH. Never given me a single issue. Fantastic to type on.

Linux workstation users who want a compact daily keyboard, because it has been used successfully on a Linux setup with no issues.
Desk users who want long wireless runtime, because the 2.4GHz dongle delivers great battery life.

People who need a built-in number pad, because this layout has no numpad and may require a separate pad or larger model.
Users who want included keycap-removal tools, because the puller is not included and a 4-prong remover does not work well.
People who need a wrist-rest-free setup, because a separate hand rest is recommended for comfortable use.
