I can echo this: I used rewards points from Discover and Capital One to get gift cards to purchase tickets to a football game, with about a hundred dollars leftover on a credit card. The gift cards showed up as applied but when the charge came through, the entire amount went on my card. Stubhub's response was that once a transaction is completed, there's nothing they can do--even though you wouldn't see this problem until after it was completed.

Since I already had the gift cards, I thought about using Stubhub to buy parking but the same thing seems to have happened: the gift card amount shows as applied but the total remained the same. Needless to say, I didn't click purchase.

I haven't used StubHub in YEARS so don't take this as an endorsement but surprised to see all the hate about 'em. Not sure why I even clicked on this really as I'm not looking for tickets but glad I did, learn something new every day. Guess I'll look for another service if I need a resale ticket next time.
