In fact my wife liked it so much that she kept stealing it from my tool bags when she needed it around the house. I eventually bought her an identical one for her Christmas stocking. She was thrilled.
I don't know if this is an amazing price, but it is a good quality tool.

This DeWALT retractable utility knife stands out for comfortable handling, easy blade changes, and handy onboard blade storage, with some long term use calling it a high quality tool. It also works well for scoring and snapping drywall, and for cutting caulk around windows when paired with sharp blades. The main knocks are that the blade depth cannot be adjusted, the retraction and blade retention can jam or loosen, and blade swaps can get fiddly as the knife ages. A solid compact cutter if those tradeoffs fit your work.
Common Questions (5)
It can work well for scoring and snapping drywall, and for cutting caulk around windows, as long as the blade stays sharp and clean. For cutting openings in already installed drywall, a jabsaw is the better tool.
Yes. The handle has onboard blade storage that is described as more than adequate, and the blade change system is easy and quick without needing a screwdriver. The storage is also large enough for convenient blade access during work.
It can be comfortable and high quality for general use, but the plastic body is less durable than an all-metal knife. One report says it melted after contact with leaked brake cleaner, and another says the retraction mechanism can jam and make the knife unusable.
It can. One report says the blade can jam open or closed, while another says the blade can loosen and slide out when cutting drywall or other material.
No, this model is reported not to adjust blade depth. That makes it a poor fit for tasks that need different blade exposure, even though it can still work for basic cutting jobs.

I use the Milwaukee Fastback most of the time (got a two pack back a year or two ago for $20, but only one has the screwdriver tip built in). The grip isn't as comfortable, but it's so much handier to have it clipped to your pocket and flip the blade out. At the same time, getting the extra blade out of the handle is a pain.
TL/DR, They all seem have their negatives.
I've been buying many different types of utility because always looking for one during work and some are cheap flimsy and dont work good.
These got to be one of the highest quality knifes I've owned and really like them. I highly recommend 🤌
